At Arkansas Commitment, we’re looking for students who are passionate about their education. While we prioritize those who meet the GPA requirement, we also understand that everyone faces unique challenges. If your GPA is lower than the minimum, don’t be discouraged – we encourage you to use the essay section to share your story and explain any factors that may have affected your academic performance. We’re here to support you!

* Please note: Our 11th and 12th grade cohorts are at capacity. All applicants will be placed on our waitlist until space becomes available.

Other Considerations

Residency:

Must live in Arkansas, with a preference for students from the Little Rock area.

College Goals:

Have a strong desire to attend a competitive college.

Academic Performance

Maintain a 3.0+ GPA while committing to a challenging college-prep curriculum

Deadlines

Arkansas Commitment offers two tracks: The Emerging Scholars Program, a school-based 10th-grade chapter with meetings at your school, and the General Application for 9th-11th graders, which provides full access to our resources, including advising and ACT prep.

Emerging Scholars Program
(10th Grade School-Chapter)

*Offered at Hall-West and eStem High Schools

  • Application Deadline: October 1, 2024

  • Decisions Released: October 15, 2024

 

School chapter meetings will begin after your club sponsor approves the schedule.

General Application
(9th-11th Grade Cohorts)

  • Application Deadline: January 31, 2025

  • Decisions Released: March 1, 2025 

 

9th graders admitted by March 1 can access individual advising and virtual ACT prep immediately, with full membership starting in August.
